Getting to Boston/Cambridge:

Flights to Boston get very expensive, and September 3, 2108 is Labor day (a National Holiday). However, you can usually find a reasonable flight if you book early. We like www.kayak.com

The Sheraton Commander is accessible by public transportation from both the Boston and Providence Airport eliminating the need to rent a car. If you do rent a car, the hotel charges $31/day for guests.
How to get to the Sheraton Commander
Transportation to/from Boston Logan:
1. Go Boston Shuttle – starts at $25, fixed cost. www.gobostonshuttle.com
2. Taxi – $18-33 depending on traffic
3. Uber/Lyft – $8-50 depending on the time of day/weather
4. Subway – FREE from the airport, $2.75 to the airport. www.mbta.com Take the Silver Line shuttle bus to South Station (last stop). Transfer to the Red Line subway, Northbound/Alewife six stops to Harvard Square. Walk across Harvard Yard to the Sheraton Commander (5 minute walk).

Transportation from South Station, Boston (Amtrak arrival)
1. $2.75 - Take the Red Line subway, Northbound/Alewife six stops to Harvard Square. Walk across Harvard Yard to the Sheraton Commander (5 minute walk). Expert tip – if you see a subway employee, ask for a “Charlie Card,” it will save you $0.50 per ride.

Things to do in Cambridge/Boston:
Boston is known as the walking city. If you are staying at the Sheraton Commander, most everything is very walkable or accessible via the subway. The subway system is very safe and easy to navigate. There are employees of the MBTA at every station who are always helpful if you happen to get lost
